My name is Rain Hawthorne. I live in Springfield with my spouse, our dog, and three cats. 

​Hawthorne Treats started out as birthday cakes. I wanted to make something that my partner and I could enjoy, despite our egg and dairy allergies. I taught myself how to bake and decorate (vegan) cakes at home and used those skills to become a professional baker/pastry chef. 

My personal mission is to develop new recipes and ideas so that other people like me can enjoy delicious, made-from-scratch cakes and pastries, just like everyone else.
